E. Beth McGinty, Ph.D., M.S.

Beth McGinty, Ph.D., M.S., is the Co-Director of the Center for Mental Health and Addiction Policy Research and the Associate Director of the ALACRITY Center for Health and Longevity in Mental Illness at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. McGinty completed her Ph.D. in health and public policy from the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and received an M.S. in health and behavior studies from Columbia University.

Dr. McGinty’s research focuses on evaluation of mental health and substance use policies. Some of her interests include the evaluation of policies designed to better integrate behavioral, somatic, and social services for people with serious mental illness; study of policy approaches to addressing the U.S. opioid epidemic; and evaluation of state cannabis laws.
