Amy Blank Wilson, Ph.D., M.S.W., is an Associate Professor and The Prudence F. and Peter J. Meehan Early Career Distinguished Scholar in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Ph.D. in social welfare from University of Pennsylvania and her M.S.W. from Rutgers University.
Dr. Wilson is considered an expert in criminal justice and mental health and most of her career has focused on issues around mental health, serious mental illness and dual diagnosis, service accessibility, jail reentry, and interventions for people with serious mental illness involved in the justice system. Her research also examines criminal thinking and criminogenic risk in people with serious mental illness.
